Thunberg sat calmly in a way in front of the Swedish Parliament, and erected a 'School Strike For Climate' sign and walked out on schools. The reason she felt it was important to draw political attention and convince them to take action to stop global warming. Swedish media caught Thunbergs striking, and the news about her strike went out. Soon after, thousands of students around the world joined her #FridaysforFuture strikes skipping school on Fridays in protest of climate changes. Climate activists all over the world coordinated the Global Strike for Climate. The event was hugely successful. Over 1.6 million participants across 125 nations took part.
